Hi Guys,
Here's the deal. The quorum debate was held at the last NEA meeting again. There were not enough votes to initiate a change so the quota for a quorum remains the same. 2/3 of the delegates and 3/5 of the executive officers.
A follow up motion was made to hold an executive hearing at the next NEA meeting, (6/27 in NH) to have any clubs that are not in compliance with the attendance policy. Nobody knew who the clubs were, just that all clubs not in compliance needed to answer to the delegates.
The attendance policy is you can't miss more then 3 meetings in a 12 month period.
There are 4 clubs that have missed 4 or more meetings since 5/08.
Legal Jeeper is one of them.

The delegates discussed possibly revoking some privileges such as land use and Fall Crawl.

The bottom line is they don't want clubs kicked out, or punished, they want clubs to come the meetings and be active participants in the NEA and the direction it heads.

I just need someone from Legal Jeeper who is in a leadership role to contact me so we can work something.

I'm sure we can reach a workable solution that will make both sides happy.

Hey Guys.......(EXEC. BOARD MEMBERS) can someone call Jay please, So we don't loose our status with the NEA. I for one like to have the option to wheel NEA land and esp. Fall Crawl and the Snow Run. I know that if some of our fellow club members would attend these wheeling events they will learn what we have been raving about.
I know that Jeff and Ryan have volunteered to be deligates, so will I if we need it. But we need to get the ok from you guys.

I'm doing everything I can to help you guys out here but you need to work with me.
If I don't hear from you, and the delegates vote to either restrict privileges or remove you from the NEA there is a good chance your members will not be eligible for Fall Crawl. I see some from here have already signed up and if Legal is removed, they would have to join another club in good standing in order to attend the event.

Like I said, we want to work with you and get you back on track but so far I've only heard from Jay Fritz, Jeff Sands, and Ryan V. Someone in a leadership role NEEDS to contact me.
I can not stress it enough.

Well i'm sure glad Fritz and I are both members of DWE. At least we know the Leaders of that Club care about what happens with there Club and there members!!!!!!
... Hopefully Jeff is also.

Regretfully, Legal Jeeper has failed to pay their dues for 2009. I know several emails were sent to the treasurer, Michael Sacks, by both Paul Regish (the NEA treasurer) and myself. Additionally a 60 day extension was granted at the last NEA meeting.

Unfortunately this means if LJ wants to join the NEA again, you will have to start over from scratch with provisional membership, a trail ride and approval by the delegates.
This also means any member of LJ that signed up for Fall Crawl and is not a member of another NEA club will not be eligible to attend.
We've done everything we could to give LJ the opportunity to remain in good standings with the NEA but it was not enough.
